Mudgee sits in the Central Tablelands of NSW: far enough to feel like a real escape, close enough for a weekend. The house is just above the racecourse, a three-minute drive or twenty-minute walk into town, with cellar doors right across the road.

Two cellar doors sit right across the road from the house, with Mudgee names like Lowe Family Wine Co, Robert Stein and Logan Wines a short drive on. The region's cellar doors are famously relaxed and family-run. If you would rather not drive them, we run a hosted pub and wine tour for guests.
Long lunches at The Zin House or Pipeclay Pumphouse, craft beers at Mudgee Brewing Co, morning coffee on Market Street, and a local cheese producer just up the road from the house.
Sunrise flights drift over the vineyards and river flats: the classic Mudgee experience, worth the early alarm.
Mudgee Farmers Market (3rd Saturday monthly), honey at the Honey Haven, and roadside farm-gate stalls all through the valley.

Everything above is spread across the valley, which is fine until you work out that one of you has to stay sober to get everyone home. Guests staying at the house can add a hosted pub and wine tour instead: 11am to 5pm through the cellar doors and country pubs, with one of us driving and transport between every venue.
Tours must be booked at least two weeks before you arrive. We drive them ourselves, so the day has to be blocked out ahead of time and cannot be arranged after check-in.
